Another Day Of VBS

Another day of VBS indeed!  I had a great time today!  I'm glad I get to go to this awesome VBS!  I still get to have two more days until it's over.  Pretty fun.

Also, when I got home, we got to have friends over while our moms were doing Bible study.  Also pretty fun.

And as I'm typing this, it thunder storming louder than I think I've ever heard.  Well, not so fun.

Anyway, I've had a great day and I'll probably have another great one tomorrow too!  Thanks for viewing, God bless you, and goodnight.

Camping and More!

Hey everyone!  As you can probably tell from the title, we went camping recently!  We just came back on Sunday, and we had a blast!  Now, where did we go?  We went to Lake Massasecum, as we do every year.  This wasn't just any camping trip though.  It was our "guys" camping trip.  That means Mom doesn't camp with us, and not Nellie either.  It was very windy and chilly, so we didn't swim, but we still found many ways to have fun!

Alright, also:  Today was the first day of VBS!  This VBS is at my old preschool and kindergarten, Chestnut Hill Chapel & Christian Preschool!  No, I'm not in the VBS, I'm helping out lead one of the groups of kids.  I'll tell you what, for a VBS, even one that I'm helping in, this is an extremely fun one.  I had a blast for the first day.  Whoo Hoo!

One more thing, my Nook Simple Touch that I ordered came in.  I'll do a review of it in Play The Keys Tech.

Thanks for reading!  Have a nice...uh night...

Crazy Weekend

Alright.  Crazy weekend story time!!!

So, Saturday morning, I woke up, got my running clothes on, and went with my brothers and dad to the New Boston 5K. Yes, we ran the 5K on Saturday.  Actually, I made my personal record!  25.36 to be exact.  My little brother came in behind me, and my mom came in a few people behind him.  My other brother ran with my dad, and they came in later.  All in all, it was a great race.

Alright, moving on to Sunday!

So, after I woke up, I ate breakfast, and then I got dressed in my piano recital clothes.  Yep, my piano recital was yesterday!  My Babci and Pepè came to watch it!  After the recital, we paled at home a bit, and then Babci and Pepè left.  I went to my other recital with my mom, while the others stayed home.

Yeah.  Pretty busy weekend.  Now we're kind of having a day off.  Ahhhhh...

Thanks for viewing Play The Keys!

Knights Of Stonum

This is part one of a new series I'm working on through the summer.  It's called The Knights Of Stonum.  Enjoy!

Prologue:
Dusk was just an ordinary boy.  Other than his name, he seemed normal to basically everyone.  That is, to everyone but his three friends Hue, Ian, and Dido.  They knew that he wasn’t quite normal.  They knew because they all had one.  They all had one of The Stones.  Dusk, Hue, Ian, and Dido found The Stones glowing by the ocean in front of Dusk’s house.  They took them.  That’s when it all started.
Chapter 1:
Hey, do you want to come over to my house tonight?”  Dusk was asking his friends after school.
“Of course dude!”  Said Ian.
“Sure!”  Hue exclaimed.
“I’ll be there!”  Dido said as he jumped in the air.
“Alright, cool!  I’ll buy some snacks when I bike home.”  Dusk said.
Later at Dusk’s house, Dusk was waiting for his friends to arrive.  There was a knock at the door.
“Hi, Dusk!”  It was Hue.
“Oh, hey Hue!  Have you seen the others?”  Dusk asked.
“Yes, they’re coming.  I just biked the fastest to get here.”  Hue replied.
“Okay I was jus – oh, here they are now!”
Ian and Dido were huffing and puffing as they walked up the front steps.
“Man, how can you bike so fast Hue?”  Dido asked between breaths.
“Hi Dido!  I bike faster when I really want to get to the place where I’m biking.  For instance, when I bike to school I do it very slowly so it takes longer.”  Hue answered.
“Okay…”  Dido said.
“So, what are we going to do?”  Ian asked Dusk.
“Uhh, I was thinking of playing dodge ball on the beach.”  Dusk replied.
“Awesome!”  Everyone else replied.
They headed outside and started playing.
“Wooh, Dusk, you threw that way out of bounds!”  Hue yelled.
Sure enough, the ball was thrown way out of bounds.
“Okay, easy, Hue.  I’ll go grab it.”  Dusk said as he walked over towards the ball.
“Uh, guys?  You might want to come see this…”  Dusk said to the others.
They walked over to Dusk.  There, half-buried in the sand, were four round stones each glowing different colors.
“Wow.”  Dusk picked up the bright green one.
“Amazing!”  Hue took the orange one.
“This is crazy!”  Dido grabbed the blue one.
“They’re glowing!”  Ian took yellow one.
When they all picked up the stones, the stones started to glow white and a sweet tune of notes was played.  Then, out of nowhere, a portal appeared.
“Oh my gosh!”  Hue said.
They all dropped the stones in surprise.  The portal immediately shut and the stones started to glow their original color.
“What.  Just.  Happened?”  Ian asked.
“I have no idea.”  Dido said.
“I feel like…I feel like it was attached to me.”  Dusk whispered.
They went inside, leaving the stones out of fear.  Dusk hopped over to his laptop.
“Okay, I’m gonna search this up.”
He searched ‘glowing stones’ in Google.  He found one result that was even related to stones.
“Sensei White?  It turns out that this Sensei guy has been looking for these stones.  Hey, he lives just down the street from me.  Coincidence?  I don’t think so.  I think he knows that these stones are around here.”  Dusk told everyone.
“Should we go see him?”  Dido asked quietly.
“Yes.  But we have to be careful.  It could be some kind of trap.”  Dusk replied.
“Alright then.  It’s set.  We’ll go tomorrow after school.”  Hue said.
Chapter 2:
After school the next day, Dusk and his friends met at his house.
“Alright,”  Dusk said.
“The address to this guy’s house is about a block away.”  He told everyone.
“Then what are we waiting for?” Ian asked.
“Let’s go!” Hue said.
                They started walking.
“So, what are we going to say to this guy?”  Dido asked.
“Well, we should probably say something like, ‘Hey Mister White!  We found your weird glowing stone…things!’”  Dusk said.
“Oh!  Then we should say, ‘If you want them, you can come get them at Dusk’s place!’”  Ian said.
“Yes, yes!  That’ll do!”  Hue said.
They arrived at Sensai White’s house.  Dusk knocked at the door.
“Who’s there?”  Said a croaky voice.
Hue saw an eye peek out from a hole in the door.
“Ahh!  Oh.  Well, we think we have your stone…things…”  Dido said carefully.
They heard multiple locks being unlocked.  They saw an old man standing in the doorway.
“Come in, come in!”  The old man insisted.  He had a kind smile on his face.
“Um, okay.”  Ian said.
The boys walked in suspiciously.  They looked around.
“Please, sit down.”  The man said.
After they sat down, the old man spoke.
“So, you say you have found The Stones?”
“Yes – well, we found four glowing stones that each were a different color.”  Dusk informed him.
“Do you happen to remember what colors they were?”  The man asked.
“I remember!  They were green, orange, blue, and yellow.”  Hue almost shouted.
The man looked thoughtful for a moment.
“These are your stones.”  He said.
“What do you mean?”  Dido asked.
“There are four stones and four of you.  You each have one of them.”  The man replied.
“But why?”  Ian asked.
“You’ll find out in time.  Each one of you, come back to me with the stone you feel is the most connected to you.  Oh, and call me White.”
Chapter 3:
“You’ll find out in time.  You’ll find out in time?!  That’s it?”  Ian shouted.
“I want to know more too, Ian.”  Dusk said to him.
They headed back to Dusk’s house.  When they got there, they found the stones sitting where they had left them.
“Uh, shouldn’t we put these stones in bags so they don’t do that weird portal thing?”  Dido asked.
“Yeah…we probably should do that.” Hue said.
They each took the stone they had last time and quickly put it in a baggy.
“Whew, they didn’t react.”   Dido said.
“Should we head back over to White’s house?”  Ian asked.
“No, It’s getting dark.  We should do it tomorrow.”  Dusk told everyone.
“Okay.  Meet here after school with the stones?”  Hue asked.
“Yep, sounds good!”  Dusk said.
After school the next day, everyone met up at Dusk’s house like they said they would.
“Okay.  So, are we going to White’s house yet?”  Ian asked impatiently.
“Yes, yes, in a minute Ian.”  Dusk said.
“Everybody have their stones?”  Hue asked.
                Everyone said yes.
“Alright then, lets get a move on!”  Dido said.
They biked over to White’s house.  Dusk knocked on the door for a second time.
“Who’s there?”  Came the voice of White.
“It’s us.  You know, Dusk, Hue, Ian, and Dido.  The kids with the stones?”  Dido said.
“Oh.  Come in.”  White said as he opened the door - that same friendly smile on his face.
“Alright, so you have The Stones?”  White asked.
“Yeah, right here.”  Dusk and the other’s held out their stone.
“Oh yes, those are The Stones all right.”  White said happily.
“Take each Stone out of the bag and hold it in your hand.”  White told them.
As they did so, they saw a black swirling speck in the middle of the room.  The speck grew larger until it was the size of a person.  The Stones turned white, the sweet tune of notes was played, and the portal was open.
“Wow!  It works!”  White said.
“Okay, okay, you can put The Stones down now.  It’s time for some information.”  He said.

“Finally time for some info!”  Ian said.

Well I've Missed A Lot

I haven't blogged about much lately, so I thought I'd write a post telling you guys about everything that's happened since I've blogged last.

So, my last post said that Mario Kart 8 was coming out in 3 days.  It's come out now and It's a blast to play.  We also got The Legend Of Zelda:  Wind Waker HD for free since we bought Mario Kart 8.  Awesome.  Okay, moving out of video games...

The Friday that Mario Kart 8 came out, was also Homeschool Field Day!  A bunch of homeschoolers meet up each year and we play games like Sack Racing, Jump The River, Hula-Hooping Contest, Relay Races, and more.  We got to go this year and it was a lot of fun!

Yesterday, we went to go see Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day show at The Capital Center For The Arts.  Sound familiar?  Yeah, that's the book/show that I based my book off of a couple of posts down.  Cool right?  The show was funny, but not quite what I expected.  It was more like Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Musical...

And last but not least, this Friday is the last day of school!  Yay!  Summer vacation here we come!  Thanks for viewing!
