Wii to Wii U

Hello everyone!  Today, we finally transferred our Wii data to our new Wii U.  So, all of the stuff transfered to the Wii U, there wasn't a need for the Wii anymore...so, the Wii that we've had since 2009, is finally headed out the door.  Now, to get to out Wii data, we switch our Wii U into Wii mode.  Bye Nintendo Wii!  We'll miss ya!

Today is also the only day that we have all of the Nintendo consoles since 2001.  The GameCube, Wii, and then Wii U.  But sadly, this is the only day I can say this...

I reccomend the Wii U to Nintendo newbies, or any Nintendo fan. (Like myself!)

Thanks for viewing!  God bless you!

Christmas Day

Merry Chistmas!!!   We celebrate Jesus's brith this day!

So far, this has been an amazing Christmas!  I've received a perpetual motion toy, a DIY clock, a stocking filled with goodies, and also, me and my brothers shared in getting a Wii U!  However, we plugged in the Wii U, and it turned out that it had some technical difficulties...long story short we can't play it until we get a new one.  Which might be tomorrow.  It's all right though, we had a great time playin with our other gifts!

Anyway, any idea what I'm typing this from?

So, my mom finally got an upgrade from her iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5S.  My mom and dad were talking - and desired that the iPhone 4 could go to me!!!  Woohoo!

Well,  I hope you've had a great Christmas!  Christ is born!!!!

Gingerbread House

Hey everybody!  Yesterday I got to go to a good friend of mine's house to make a gingerbread house with them.  My friend's mom made the gingerbread dough herself!  And the frosting!  She got them to stay together really well too!  My friend and I were plastering candy and frosting on our houses.  This is what mine came out like:

My Gingerbread House
I put a see-saw and a campfire...with GUMMY BEARS!  I had a great time with my friend and I hope he did too!

So, after that, I got home...what do you think I did?  I made another....not even close to as nice as this one though...and the dough wasn't homemade.  We actually used graham crackers.  You guys might be like, "Really Elijah?  Two gingerbread houses in one day?  Do you really need that much candy?"  And to that, I would say YES! ...but then again, I really should say no...

Anyway, have a great day!  BEST GINGERBREAD DAY EVER!

The Supernaturalist

Hey guys!  I just finished a book report on a book called:  The Supernaturalist

          The Supernaturalist
                                                                                                By Eoin Colfer

The Supernaturalist is a book about an orphan boy named Cosmo Hill, who has no hope of ever being adopted or fitting in.  He escapes the orphanage and meets a group in which he finally fits in, and he goes on adventures with them.  The book is written by Eoin Colfer, who is also the author of the famous series, Artemis Fowl.  This science-fiction novel makes you wonder what will happen to the characters every page you turn!
Cosmo Hill is a 14 year old orphan boy who lived in an orphanage called Clarissa Frayne.  He was found as a baby on Cosmonaut Hill, which is where he got his name.  The Supernaturalists, a group of people, include Stefan Bashkir, Mona Vasquez, and Ditto Bonn.
This book takes place in the futuristic world of Satellite City, where almost everything is automated.  Most of the city is run by the Myishi Corp.’s satellite power source.  However, in the time of the book, the satellite is losing links to the surface of the earth.  This causes mild, to catastrophic disasters.
One day, Cosmo got to go on a bus with his room-mates.  The bus crashed and Cosmo thought that this would be his chance to escape Clarissa Frayne forever.  So, that’s just what he did.  After running through the building (that the bus crashed into) up to the roof, he jumped to the rooftop of the closest building.  He was hurt, and he saw a blue transparent creature on his wound.  His pain instantly went away.  That’s when he saw the Supernaturalists blasting the creature of his wound.
In the end though, Cosmo finds himself happy.  He is a Supernaturalist.  He has friends, Mona and Ditto by his side.  The job was done.  The Supernaturalists had been hunting the blue creatures, that happened to be on every other person that was hurt - forever it seemed.  But the creatures were finally learned about, and were found to be harmless.

I absolutely love this book.  It’s filled with adventure, and absolutely makes you want to read on, and on!  I think my favorite part is when The Supernaturalists (including Cosmo) go to space to collect a special chip.  The one and only space suit doesn’t fit Stefan, Ditto, or even Mona, so Cosmo has to go out in the suit to get the chip.  If you would like to read something futuristic, and a book that keeps you wondering what will happen next, then this is the book for you!

Thanks for reading!!!  Have a good day!

My VLACS Computer Literacy Course

Today I'm going to talk about one of my VLACS (An online charter school) courses called Computer Literacy.  I have 3 other courses, (Math, Language Arts, and World Cultures) but today I'm just going to talk about this one.

In section 1 of my course, I learned about the Internet, what it does, and different browsers that can use it.  Right now, as I'm typing this post, I'm using Chrome.  My personal favorite.  However, VLACS is not able to be used in Chrome.  So, I use the one recommend, Firefox.

In section 2, I learned about a program called Writer.  It is in an office suite called Open Office.  My family has iWork, Microsoft Office, and Open Office. (Now we have Open Office because of VLACS!)  Writer is a program that you can write text in to make a document.

In section 3, I learned about formatting documents.  Formatting mean to change how something looks.  You can format text to make it a different color, size, or font.  You can also change the way the paper faces.  Portrait, or Landscape.

For the 4th section, I learned about A program called Calc.  This is in - you might have guessed - Open Office.  This is used to make spreadsheets.  Spreadsheets are used to organize data.

The 5th section was about Impress.  One of the programs in Open Office!  Impress can help you make presentations.  I made a couple, but I can't post them on this website.

And last but not least, section 6 is about Blogging.  Where do you think I am in the course?  Yep, I'm in the blogging part.  In that section it required me to write something like this on a blog that I created...which I'm currently doing...

Well, thanks for reading!  I only have one more section to go!  Section 7!  Bye!

Hey everyone!  This post is half for a part of my school, where I need to post something about something I found in an RSS Feed (I have 2 on the "Tech" page) and half because - well, it's awesome.

I just found out from the Liliputing RSS Feed, that Amazon is working on a new delivery system.  Amazon Prime Air!  This also only takes about 30 min to ship something right to your door!  It is a drone that flies your package from Amazon, to you doorstep.  This is AMAZING!  This could be working by 2015!

Bye guys!  Have a good day!  Thanks for viewing!
