Illuminate VBS 2013

Starting last Sunday, MCC had an amazing VBS that ended last Thursday.  I was in Elevate VBS (http://www.manchesterchristian.com/WebPageMCC.aspx?i=79) and my two younger brothers were in Fortress VBS (http://www.manchesterchristian.com/WebPageMCC.aspx?i=87)  It was amazing!

My mom was one of the actresses for the Fortress VBS.  She was "Illuminator 1".  Also, there were I2, (the "I" stands for illuminator) I3, I4, and a cute little alien named Ownl.  (One With No Light)
Our mission for the week was to illuminate God's light to others, when the Illuminators crash - landed on a planet in space.  They thought they couldn't fulfill their mission on the planet.  They found the alien Ownl and taught her about God.  But in the end, their shuttle was fixed, and Ownl knew who God was, and was now illuminating God's light to all her alien friends.  She became Owl! (One WITH Light)

On one of the days there, (I'm not sure which one) one of the actress's straps to her mask fell off.  We needed to get her a safety pin to hook it back on.  The kids we coming!  It just so happens, that one of the adults walking by, had a safety pin in her front pocket.  That was God right there.  He sent that lady down at that exact minute with a safety pin.

Then, on the last day, my mom "I1" was about to have a meeting with the other volunteers, when the power in the building went out.  They were going to teach about light, with no light...  However, when my mom came up to the meeting, she said, "Satan, in the name of Jesus, I command you to flee!" and stomped her foot, and at that second, the lights came back on.  The meeting went wild!  Everybody was jumping around, shouting, and thanking the Lord!  My mom wanted to say that it had nothing to do with her.  It was all God.

Then, also on the last day, we were driving home all talking about the amazing day that we had just had, there was an OWL in the middle of the road and a car coming the other way, so we couldn't get around it.  My mom had no other choice but to slam on the brakes and stop.  Satan had us almost hit OWL.  He tried to make us hit One With Light.

I thought Satan would try one more trick on us.  And sure enough, he did.  At 4:00 in the morning, our van alarm went off.  Someone or something had just tried to break into our van.  The alarm wouldn't stop until the battery died.  My dad jumpstarted the van with he car, and I tried to fall back asleep.

Well, we had a crazy week at VBS!  And just so you know, the owl is okay, and so is our van.  God bless you!  Thank you for viewing!

Yesterday's Gemology Class

Yesterday, we went to the library to go to meet a gemologist, and hear him teach a class about gemology!  It was an amazing class!  First we sat down at tables, and got to look and play with a couple of rocks he had put on the tables.  After a little while, he told up what his job was all about.  Mining rocks, then looking and examining the rocks he'd mined.  He then gave a small rocks and told us to do his job - looking and examining then.  He told us, "You can look at them, feel them, smell them - you might even want to taste them!"  and took a bite of the rock.  I took a bite too...of course...they were fake chocolate rocks!

4th of July 2013

Happy 4th of July everyone!  Today has been a really awesome day!  First, this morning, we had our New Boston 4th of July parade!

 After the parade, we went home for a little while, the left for a 4th of July party at a friends house - which was really fun.  Then, we went to the 4H Fairgrounds to watch fireworks!  (My camera has a weird effect on fireworks for some reason too...they look all zig - zaggy....)

Moose Hillock Camping Trip 2013

Oh ya!  Camping!  I got home from camp, slept in my bed ONCE, and then, woke up the next morning, got dressed, ate, packed again, and left.  Crazy right?  So first Six Flags, then a hotel, then my bed once, the Amped Camp for four nights, the my bed once, then camping two nights!  I have pictures! (and videos)
